"12" years ago today.....

12 years ago today i recieved the best gift any person could give me. i love this young man so much. there is not a day when he is saying or doing something that makes me laugh. tuesday he has his interview with the bishop, he leaves for boys camp saturday and will be gone for a whole week. when he returns he will be ordained a deacon in our ward. i am so happy and sad at the same time.

i'm borded

so since school has been out i have heard nothing but "i'm bored". i tell the kids to read a book, draw a picture or we can play a game. they will even have friends over and still say this. today i got tired of it. they were both (phil & des) downstairs and they were arguing and just being 12. so i had it. i put on some shorts and my tennis shoes and went downstairs and told them to do the same.
we went to the park and we ALL swung and the swings, layed out on a blanket listened to music and played phase 10. we had an amazing time. we were there for almost 3 hours and then the kids from iverson and goldfarb started coming so we decided it was time to leave. it was nice not hearing the "i'm bored" or the fighting. i even bought them ice cram for being so good. we have plans to do it again tomorrow only were bringing lunch and a different game

new house

so we finally moved into the new house and i am so excited. i love it. its the perfect size, 3 bdrm, 2 1/2 bths, and 2 car garage. i love it. the pool is about 20 yrds. from my front door and i don't have to worry about the maintenance and up keep of it and no lawn to fuss over. it is also closer to the kids school and friends (my friends too) and we are back in our old ward (treeline). i would take pictures, but my camera is somewhere buried in the sea of boxes. once i have everything where i want it i will post it all.

so we are moving again, but not far. we found a great townhouse just up the street. it is right next to the park and the best thing is that we're in the treeline ward again.

i love the new place. i had told a couple of people that if they hear of anything just to let us know. so one day my lovely friend grace was talking to another sister and mentioned that i was looking for a place and asked if she knew of anything. the sister then tells grace that she had knew of a man who was interested in renting his home but she had not seen or heard from him so she wasn't to sure. just as she was outside saying this the man she was referring to walks out to take out the trash and she asked if he was still interested in renting his home and he was.

this place is perfect for us. it has 3 room and 2 1/2 baths and a 2 car garage. we are so excited to move in, which will be on the first of may.

so now my house is in shambles with boxes everywhere and clothes, shoes and toys. i told chris i was going to do room by room and hopefully it goes better this way.

cori and melissa

These two ladies are my bestest friends. i love them both so much. before i moved away for a short while there was never a day when we were not talking to each other or at one of their houses. they are the two most loving, generous, caring and wonderful women.

they are always there for me when i need them. even living in texas i was calling them crying that i wanted to come back home and they assured me that i was going to be okay and everything would be fine.

today cori and i went to go and just spend the day with melissa. we had so much fun just talking and spending time with each other. thank you cori and melissa for such a great day.

to anyone who knows them, they are both the most wonderful people EVER!!!!

brinkley, my new bff....

so my new bff, brinkley came over on tuesday and we had a great time. we played this new game that the kids got. its called "boogie superstar" and we love it. so i wanted brinkley to come over and play with us. here, des and brinkley are dancing some of it.

we had an awesome time with her. des and i took turns playing the game with her. at one point she beat me,she did great with just playing it this once.

this games shows different styles of dancing and singing with great songs to do it to.

thanks brinkley for coming over, next time it will be longer and we will play guitar hero.

new toys....yeah!!!!

so chris finally gave in and we got a new computer. i absolutely love it. we got an awesome deal on it. chris got a rebate from his school for hp and we ended up getting the monitor for free.

on top is the old computer and desk and below is the new computer and desk.

i also got a new phone. the other rest its soul is finally dead. i went a whole day with out any reception anywhere. since i had the phone for over a year i got the new one really cheap. if there is deal to be found i will find it. the new phone is a sidekick and i am loving it. the sales lady was great and gave me two extra face plates for it.
and finally for valentines chris got me a sewing machine. i am SO LOVING IT!!!!!!
i recently bought new curtains, but they we're too see through. so i decided to make some darker ones and they came out great well i think so.

aren't they so pretty. well everyone should come over and play with the new toys.

something different

So this past week I have been really upset. We found out some news that it I don't like so I needed to do something to cheer me up. I decided to paint the kids bathroom. As you can see Des is painting and the blue that it was looked like a light purple and I hated it. Phillip helped out for a bit but lost interest when the ice cream man came by.
She tried her hardest to stay clean and not to get any on the ceiling. But as you can see she got on both.

I'm going to add some lime green towels and monkey fixtures so it will look so much better. I love it. I had it done by the time Chris got home and he just shook his head and said couldn't I do something else less dramatic. I told him no and to leave me alone and also informed him that it is the kids bathroom and he doesn't have to look at it.

The down stairs bathroom is next. I just don't know what to do. So if any of you have ideas just let me know, I'm up for anything.

Andre's French Restaurant

My sis in law, or (my oldest as I referrer to sometimes) took me to eat the restaurant that she works at. This was my birthday present from her. It's inside the Monte Carlo and it was good. Earlier that day I was asking Chris what does one eat at a French place, he said stick with the chicken you cant go wrong with that.

Here is Nicole with the Wine Director. He is name is Claudio and he was so nice and funny. He kept on ask if I was sure that I didn't want any wine. I repeatedly told him that I don't drink. But thanked him any ways.

There was so much to choose from. I wanted to say that I did at least try something new.
So I decided to have the duck. It was so good, I didn't even finish it. We had the full four course dinner.

This was one of the servers. His name is Javier and he made me a rooster for my left overs. I took it home for Chris to try and he was not having none of it. The kids were upset that I actually ate the duck, but I explained to them that it was GOOD.

just one of those days

so today was one of those days where you actually get the things you wanted done, done. well phil had his friend alii spend the night last night, they went to bed about midnight and woke up at 7:30. i got up to make breakfast, chris got up everyone ate. chris did his school work while we all got ready.

first, we had to go and pay bills. i hate doing it online, cause i hate having to wait for it to come out. i pay cash, have the receipt, and peace of mind knowing that its taken care of. so we left and paid the phones (house and cell), water, and gas.

second, we had to go to leslie and get the water tested for the pool. everything is great, all we had to add was 2 cups of acid. so i was happy about that. so then we had to go across town to pay the house phone.

third, we had to go to sports authority. last night we registered phil for baseball, so we had to go and look to see what he needs and what he wants. we found some great bats, but chris wants to hold off, cause he wants to go and look at big 5 and see what they have there.

we go and pick des up her friends and go and have lunch. can you believe this, i got alot done in just a manner of a couple of hours.

finally we get home and we clean up the pool. chris bought me a new chlorine dispenser, cause his friend busted up my other one. so now i have this new killer whale one and it is so cute.

so now i am relaxing and deciding on what i am going to wear to go out tonight. my sis in law is coming and we are going dancing.

San Antonio SPURS !!!!

So I LOVE the Spurs. This happens to be the only Texas team that I actually like and will cheer for. So they played the Lakers last night in San Antonio and they won 112 to 111. I told Chris that I want to see them when they go to LA. I went to their web site and found out they will be in LA on the 25th of this month. I told him that he could get me this for my birthday, but he said no cause it wasn't to much of a notice. So I will watch them from afar, see them on TV when ever they play, and hopefully one day go and see them. I just love Manu Ginobili, Robert Horry, Tony Parker and Tm Duncan.
So I figured since I couldn't go to the game maybe he should get me a jersey instead. So we will see what happens.
GO SPURS!!!!

Family History

So I have decided to look up my family history. I am so loving it. I have found out so many different things. For starters, I have discovered that there are apparently members of the Church on all sides of the family. I was looking up my father and grandparents on all sides (step and biological). I find out that several members of the family have be baptized. On Chris's side it said that his real grandfather, (that we named Phil after), is already done. It shows that someone went and took the whole family back in 91'. I am happy but a little sad at the same time. I glad that someone has gone and taken their names, but then at the same time I was wanting to do it.

So then I go and look at my family and discover that my older brother who passed before I was born and an uncle (mother's younger brother) who passed as a baby were also done. I called my sister to inform her that someone on our mother side of the family has to be LDS other than me and Phil.

I email my mother, cause this seems to be the only way I catch her and ask her to please call me so that way I can ask her who is doing this.

She calls me later and I am discussing this with her and she has no idea who it could be. I want to know so that way we could get together and I can have my family history. So my search is on to find out who the members are. I told Chris that it was meant to be for me to be a member of the Church. That we have it from both sides, he is next.

The New Year

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!!!!

I have made my new resolutions and I am hoping to stick to them.

1. Lose about 20 more pounds

2. Go to the Temple

3. Hurry up and get done with school

and finally be more involved with Church and spend as much time as I can

with my family
